TRU Contract’s is currently completing a challenging warehouse fit-out project for a furniture manufacturer. The project involved the installation of new lighting, heating, and ventilation systems, as well as the construction of new office space and the installation of racking systems for storage.

The first challenge was moving from three separate premises to one larger space which can be a daunting task for any business. However, with the right design strategy in place the transition can be a smooth and successful one.

One of the key challenges of the project was that there was no power supply available on site. This meant that all work had to be completed using temporary generators, which created additional logistical and safety challenges for the team.

TRU Contracts worked closely with the client to develop a detailed plan for the project, which included the use of specialized equipment and safety protocols to ensure that the team could work safely and efficiently without access to a permanent power supply.

The team began by installing the temporary generators and setting up a safe work area. They then began the process of installing the new lighting, heating, and ventilation systems, which required careful planning and execution to ensure that they were installed safely and effectively.

New mezzanine floors were fitted with offices, a toilet block and storage above.

The construction of the new office space and the installation of the racking systems were also completed without access to a permanent power supply. TRU Contracts worked closely with the client to ensure that all work was completed to the required standard and within the agreed-upon timeline.

Despite the challenges posed by the lack of power supply, TRU Contracts was able to complete the warehouse fit-out project to the client’s satisfaction. The new lighting, heating, and ventilation systems, along with the new office space and racking systems, created a modern and functional space that would help the furniture manufacturer to operate more efficiently and effectively.
